About WDC
Women Development cell has been inaugurated in the year 2016.A Women Development Cell symbolizes a safety hub for the students. It is also the sign of progression and open thinking. Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell ( REDC )
About REDC
Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell (REDC) formed under Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Department of Higher Education Government of India. Rural Entrepreneurship Development predominant for the balanced economic growth of the Nation. The Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell (REDC) aims to encourage student community to take up rural entrepreneurship as their career. It motivates the students to explore untapped rural resources and opportunities available in the zone.
Objectives
1. To develop understanding about Entrepreneurship in Rural Context;
2. To develop entrepreneurial skills in the rural youth;
3. To explore and identify rural potential for a business idea;
4. To developing skills to convert the idea into a commercial viable business concept;
5. To measure the feasibility of the identified concept by the students;
6. To develop a framework for integrating the business concepts and markets; and
7. To develop and implement a Rural Enterprise.

About IIC
Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India has established ‘MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ to systematically foster the culture of Innovation among all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes while they are informative years.
MIC has envisioned encouraging creation of ‘Institution’s Innovation Council (IICs) across selected HEIs. A network of IICs are established to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion ecosystem in the campuses. MIC has established Institution’s Innovation Council in more than 2700 Instiutions till December 2021.
Major Focus
- To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem.
- Start-up supporting mechanism in HEIs.
- Prepare institute for Atal Ranking of institutions on innovation achievements framework.
- Establish function ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of ideas.
- Develop better cognitive ability among students.
Function of IIC
- To conduct various Innovation, IPR and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by MIC in time bound fashion.
- Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
- Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
- Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
- Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students.
- Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc. with the involvement of industries.
